Hope you are all well? This is the start of a very exciting time for us here at Welsh Hockey HQ, not only are we embarking on a nationwide tour of Wales we are also launching the start of our VISION 2020 which is the start of the new era of Hockey in Wales.
So what is VISION 2020 you may ask? Well the best place to find out will be at one of our Roadshows!

VISION 2020 is Welsh Hockey's new 9 year vision leading to the year 2020. The vision is underpinned by some core pillars that will include changing the focus of the way we work with our regions and clubs, who are best placed to provide a safe, fun and quality hockey experience for young people and adults.
VISION 2020 is an exciting opportunity to change our thinking and realise our potential. Our members, volunteers, partners and stakeholders are fundamental to the role hockey plays across Wales both now and in the future. To highlight this we are bringing this fresh new approach across Wales with the Welsh Hockey Roadshow!
To underline this the roadshows will be reflective of this change! We will be bringing the message of VISION 2020 to you with fun, interactive events such as...- The Welsh Hockey Staff
Your first chance to meet the new members of the team! Find out what their roles are, and more importantly, how they can help you!
- The Hockey Hub
Come and try your hand at the new modified game in our new Hockey Hub! This inflatable pitch will be hosting a number of activities and chances for you to play with some Welsh International Players!
- "How fast are you?"
Test the pace of your shots with our interactive and fun speed cage! Try competing against your club mates and then see if you can outdo our International Players! We'll be keeping track of the top scores for the day and overall and will be offering prizes for the best times!
- Coaching Workshops
Are you interested in getting involved with coaching at your club, or do you just want to pick up some pointers for future training sessions? Come along you our Coaching Workshops and hear what the National coaches can help you with!
- Umpiring Workshops
If you fancy trying your hand at umpiring or even just want a rules refresher come along and quiz our top umpires! With interactive workshops and talks!
We will also be launching the new kit sponsor for the National Squad and providing more information of how we can help you deliver the best hockey experience for your clubs!
