We arrived late last night/morning after a fairly epic journey. Believing the trip from the airport would take only a matter of hours, 5-6 later we found ourselves still on the road. Pretty tough, especially for those that had to leave for the airport at 5am.
We were greeted with a dated featureless hotel, rotten smelling drains and decorating that the '60 Minute Make Over' team wouldn't struggle to improve.
We all however remain in high spirits, I for one am excited for the prospect of my first senior international European tournament.
Given the performances in our preparation throughout the summer, if the majority of the team can perform to 90% of their ability, even given the more difficult group, I feel we'll be pushing for the semi/finals.
Tonight we play Ukraine, to me an unknown quantity. I suspect it should be an interesting contest though I expect us to win given the 'rinky dink' we have.
Right, time for some such eye before we play, laters.
